Hullooooooooo! Welcome to ‘Romance Your Life’ (RYL). I’m so happy that you’re here and I really hope that you will stick around for a while, because I have so many ideas and so much to share with you.
Firstly, I’d like to declare that I have a ‘part’ qualification in Nutritional Medicine, which qualifies me to ‘give dietary advice’ only.
This means that, apart from the dietary advice, anything that I share here, mostly comes from my life experiences – or as I like to call it “The University of Life” from which we earn “Life Credentials”.
I’m not here to tell you what you SHOULD do to find your *happy*.
I AM here to suggest lots of small, medium and massive things that you could try, and which I believe will lead you in the direction of your *happy*.
When life gets in the way, it’s so easy to slowly slide into a rut and it’s sometimes difficult to find a way out by yourself. Sometimes we are so deep in the rut, we need outside help. Someone to throw us a life line and tell us it’s going to be ok.
IT’S GOING TO BE OK!
You’ve taken the first step, and if you want to get started right now, here is your life line …
At the end of this post, use the yellow button to sign up and you will receive your free ebook “The Beginners Guide to Finding Your *Happy*”. It lists ten ideas you can try (that cost nothing), which will begin your journey. It also explains why these practices can be so effective.
Don’t just sit there!!
I’m certain that, like me, you have stocked your book shelves with self help books, that at best, you skimmed through when you first got them home and have never actually read from cover to cover.
I’m certain that, like me, you have tried, much to the detriment of your bank account, diet plans that worked until you stopped. Plans and programs like Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, Atkins Diet, Blood Type Diet, Cabbage Soup diet, French Women Don’t Get Fat diet, GI diet, Grapefruit diet, Mediterranean diet, Skinny Bitch diet – OMG the list is endless!
I’m certain that, like me, you’ve paid good money for exercise and fitness machines that you may have used for two weeks, or until the novelty wore off, and now they are gathering dust in the shed or in the spare room.
Have you paid for fitness plans or personal trainers at your local gym or spent money on boot camps, Michelle Bridges painful 12 wk program, Zumba, Cross Fit, Planking … and what about all those fitness apps!? It’s enough to send you bonkers!
I’m exhausted just thinking about it!
There are so many money making industries out there trying to make us feel fat, ugly, inadequate and miserable so that we will spend our hard earned cash on their ineffective products, which ultimately fail, but are very successful in making us feel even more fat, ugly, inadequate and miserable, so that we will buy the ‘next’ product on the market.
It’s time to get real. It’s time to realise your own power and your own strengths. It’s time to love yourself enough to be your own health care advocate and take charge of YOU.
You can do this for yourself. This is YOUR life and YOUR body. You only get one (unless your religion/beliefs tells you otherwise) and you don’t even realise how fast the years pass until you reach milestones and you’re standing in front of the mirror, and your brain is still thinking like a 20 year old and your body is looking exactly the age it is – in my case 56!
Our age really doesn’t matter. Whatever our age, we want to be the happiest and healthiest version of ourselves possible and the sooner we begin to create and maintain that version of ourselves, the better off we are going to be.
There is no time to waste!
I will cover subjects like:
Food and Recipes
Vitamins and Minerals
Movement and Exercise
Positive Affirmations and the Power of Positivity
Beauty and Health Products
Arts and Crafts
and much more!
Get healthy. Find your *happy*. Get on with the job of living, loving, smiling and being kind to all who cross your path.
This is where it begins!
